Areas Served

We currently serve Reston, Herndon, and some areas of Great Falls and Vienna, Va.

Initial Consultation - $10

We require an initial consultation to meet you and your pets.  Your assigned Pet Elf sitter will record your pet’s history and current needs.  Please let us know all the details of your pet’s routine and your instructions to us, so that we may care for your pet just as you would!

You will be provided with a new client package, including our contract, which details our mutual responsibilities. Always remember to contact the office with any updates or changes in your pet’s routine.

Midday Dog Walks - $16

Additional Dog - $2

Our midday walk is a 20 minute visit giving your dog a nice exercise break and plenty of potty time. We always leave you a note so you know how the visit went and what your pet did. We leave your dog with fresh water and a treat (as allowed).  Midday walks are available between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Vacation Visits - $20

Additional Pet - $2

Our vacation visit is a 30 minute minimum visit for your dog, cat or caged pet. This visit includes walking, feeding, litter cleanup, cage cleaning and time for playing or cuddling.

Midday Dog Walks may be combined with vacation visits. We are happy to customize our visits to suit your pet’s needs.

When you are away, The Pet Elf will bring in mail, take out trash, water houseplants and alternate lights at no extra fee.

Overnight Stays - $75

Our overnight stays include complete care from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am (minimum) Your dog will receive nice exercise walks with plenty of potty time, as well as "on demand" trips outside anytime. Our sitters arrive at dinnertime and will feed and walk your pet, and then follow your instructions for the evening. We want to stick as closely as possible to your dog's usual routine, so that he stays happy and anxiety free. Breakfast and a walk are included the next morning.  Midday Dog Walks may be combined with Overnight Stays.

We always leave you a note so you know how the visit went and what your pet did. We also take care of your home as instructed, and will take out trash, alternate lights and bring in the mail. Inside and outside plants can be cared for as well.

Our overnight sitters book very quickly, so advance reservations are recommended.

Medications

Many of our staff are trained in administering oral medications and injections. Please book early if you need extensive medical assistance for your pet.

Subcutaneous fluid - $10

Holidays - $25

The Pet Elf observes the following holidays. Our offices are closed and midday walks are suspended. If you need a midday walk on any of these holidays, please call the office at least 48 hours in advance.

Visits are continued throughout vacation bookings, and a one-time $25 holiday premium applies.

The one-time holiday premium applies for any bookings one day before and one day after the holiday. 

Supplies/Store Visits - $10

Don’t have time to stock up on food before you leave? We’re happy to make the trip for you!

This fee will also apply in the event we do not have enough food, litter or other necessary items to complete our job effectively. Existing clients only, please.
